ARC Raiders Begins Permanently Banning the Most Persistent Troublemakers
Diana Golenko
Embark Studios has started taking tougher action against cheaters in ARC Raiders — the team has begun issuing permanent bans to the game’s most notorious offenders. Reports of lifetime suspensions started appearing online on January 16.
According to players, the bans targeted users who had been cheating and stream-sniping for months, deliberately harassing well-known streamers for hours at a time. These are mostly repeat offenders who had already been punished in the past.
The decision followed mounting public pressure on Embark Studios. Earlier this month, several major content creators publicly criticized the game’s persistent cheating problem, prompting the developers to act. Initially, Embark relied on temporary measures — first-time offenders faced 30-day suspensions, while repeat violations triggered hardware ID bans. However, players pointed out that these restrictions were easy to bypass by simply creating new accounts.
Embark Studios also recently hinted at upcoming content updates, teasing several new maps and features planned for this year.
