The developers of Crimson Desert at Pearl Abyss have announced that the game’s development is complete and it has officially gone gold. This milestone means that the core work on the project is finished, and the release date is now set in stone.

In a social media post, the Pearl Abyss team thanked fans for their support and called this an important step toward release. The developers also promised to share more details soon and reminded players that the RPG will launch on March 19 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Crimson Desert is a single‑player open‑world action RPG from the creators of Black Desert. The adventure unfolds on the harsh continent of Pywel, where players take on the role of Kliff, the leader of the mercenary band the Greymane, who must recruit allies, survive a war‑torn world, and strive to restore balance to the region.

The game emphasizes a dynamic combat system focused on melee encounters, powerful combo attacks, and the use of various weapons and magic. Beyond combat, players can expect to explore a seamless open world, take part in activities like hunting, fishing, and crafting, and dive deep into a story-driven experience filled with memorable characters.

Earlier reports suggested that Crimson Desert could also be headed to Nintendo Switch 2, though that version has not yet been confirmed.
