Bethesda Game Studios has announced the start of a free weekend for the post-apocalyptic multiplayer game Fallout 76. Players can jump in for free on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The event runs until February 5 (PlayStation users can play for free until February 4).
Set in 2102, Fallout 76 takes place 25 years after a nuclear war. Players emerge from Vault 76 to explore post-apocalyptic West Virginia, either solo or teaming up with other survivors.
The game features a main storyline focused on the mysteries of Appalachia and its inhabitants, along with character progression through the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system. The world is divided into several regions, each with unique environments, enemies, and resources.
Fallout 76 offers co-op quests, seasonal events with exclusive rewards, and the C.A.M.P. building system, which lets players construct bases, craft items, and trade with others.
By the way, Amazon has also started uploading episodes of the first season of the Fallout TV series for free on YouTube.
