A New Trailer for Post-Apocalyptic Survival Game Road to Vostok Reveals Early Access Release Date on Steam

A new gameplay trailer has dropped for the single-player post-apocalyptic survival game Road to Vostok, set in the no-man’s-land between Finland and Russia. The latest video unveils the exact date the project will launch in Steam Early Access.

Players start out in the evacuated Area 05, exploring abandoned sites, taking on quests from traders, and clashing with hostile bandits as they make their way toward a guarded border. Crossing the border grants access to the high-risk Vostok zone, where permadeath is enabled and the most valuable loot awaits.

The game world is dynamic: day turns to night, weather ranges from sunny to stormy, and changing seasons affect survival conditions. Loot is based on physical interactions and never spawns in the same place twice, managed through a Tetris-style inventory system that allows for item combinations. Players can trade with NPCs, complete tasks, and upgrade or customize their shelters by arranging furniture and objects with realistic physics.

Road to Vostok doesn’t force a specific playstyle: you can focus on combat, hunting, or exploration, crafting your own story in a world where every encounter and every item matters.

Road to Vostok will launch in Early Access on April 7 this year. A free demo is available now for players to try out.
