Nintendo Reveals Date for Next Direct Presentation — Resident Evil Requiem Could Make an Appearance

Nintendo has announced a new Partner Direct presentation, set to air tomorrow, February 5. The livestream will kick off at 6am PT and is expected to run for about 30 minutes. This show will focus exclusively on third-party titles, so don’t expect any major first-party reveals like the next Mario game.

What to expect:

  • Almost certainly: Resident Evil Requiem from Capcom. The game launches on February 27 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch 2, and the Direct has an 18+ rating.
  • Fans are hoping for news on The Duskbloods — a Switch 2 exclusive from FromSoftware, first announced back in April 2025 but rarely shown since.
  • There could be a stronger Microsoft presence: rumors are swirling about a potential Sea of Thieves release on Nintendo, as well as other Xbox titles making the jump.
  • Don’t expect Borderlands 4 — development of the Switch 2 version has been put on indefinite hold as Take-Two shifts resources to other platforms. However, the publisher hasn’t ruled out bringing other games to Switch 2 in the future.

You’ll be able to watch the presentation live on YouTube.

Previous Nintendo Directs have focused on Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream and the upcoming animated film, The Super Mario: Galactic Movie.

By the way, we recently published a roundup of the most anticipated games for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
