New Gameplay for Beat 'Em Up Vegelypse Shows Off Mutant Fruits and Veggies

Back in December, the team at Jumble Cats Studios announced their new beat 'em up, Vegelypse. Now, an extended gameplay trailer has surfaced online, featuring the game's hero battling hordes of mutant vegetables.

Vegelypse is described as a hand-drawn 2.5D action game with light roguelike elements, supporting both solo play and co-op for up to four players. Players take control of members of the Hard Rock Cacti Band, fighting off waves of aggressive, mutated fruits and veggies as they make their way from rural areas to a ruined city.

The game combines classic fast-paced melee combat with random generation elements, frame-by-frame animation, a hard rock soundtrack, and multiple modes, promising plenty of variety and high replayability.

“A blast in a nearby town unleashed a wave of aggressive mutant veggies into the world. They're hungry, angry, and ready to turn your neighborhood into a destructive salad bar,” reads the official description.

Vegelypse is already available to wishlist on Steam.
