MindsEye Devs Release Major Update and Debut New Trailer

Build A Rocket Boy has rolled out the seventh major update for their action title MindsEye on PC and consoles. The patch is another step towards improving the overall quality of the game and was developed with community feedback in mind. The team focused on enhancing mission navigation, balancing objectives, refining AI, and polishing visuals.
One of the key changes is the campaign overhaul: several missions now feature additional markers and hints to make objectives clearer and navigation easier. Some controversial mission fail conditions have been reworked, and NPC health has been increased in select missions to prevent unfair defeats.
Deluxe Edition owners are getting exclusive access to the Silva E-Series — a full-fledged urban street circuit in the heart of Redrock. The race is presented as a large-scale event, complete with grandstands, barriers, and crowds, with a focus on technical driving and precision. Top results will be tracked on global leaderboards.
Beyond gameplay tweaks, the patch includes:
- Improved movement and weapon handling animations;
- Enhanced hit and blood effects;
- Reduced motion blur intensity;
- Better audio in cutscenes and restored missing music tracks;
- Numerous bug fixes for missions, UI, and enemy behavior;
- Performance optimization, especially around the Silva factory area.
The update launched on February 4, 2026, and is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Alongside the patch, Build A Rocket Boy also released a brand-new MindsEye trailer.
The developers say they’ll continue to release regular updates and encourage players to share their feedback, as it directly influences future improvements.
It’s worth noting that MindsEye received a lot of negative reviews at launch, but its Steam rating has been steadily climbing in recent weeks.
By the way, recent reports suggest that Build A Rocket Boy has decided to end its partnership with IO Interactive on MindsEye.
