Interestingly, the developers also revealed that the game is currently earning enough each day to cover the studio’s monthly operating costs.

The surge in interest around No Rest for the Wicked came after several major updates, including the addition of co-op play.

No Rest for the Wicked blends a Souls-like combat system — where strategy and precision matter — with the ability to collect weapons, armor, and runes, create unique builds, and develop your character. The main campaign takes players through hand-crafted locations filled with secrets, treasures, and dynamic events. The game also features building and crafting elements, letting you buy and customize property, gather resources, and cook meals to boost your hero’s stats.

The world is alive and constantly evolving, with new vendors, events, and challenges appearing over time. Special attention has been given to animation, lighting, and sound design, creating a truly immersive and reactive island. There are no microtransactions or shortcuts — all progress is earned through honest gameplay.
