Gothic 1 Remake Dated for June 5, 2026 with New “Return to the Colony” Trailer

THQ Nordic has officially announced the release date for Gothic 1 Remake and unveiled a new trailer. The return to the Colony is set for 5 June 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Gothic 1 Remake is being developed by Alkimia Interactive with the support of THQ Nordic and is positioned as a full reimagining of the classic, not just a graphical upgrade. The new “Return to the Colony” trailer showcases the updated visuals, the grim atmosphere of the Valley of Mines, and familiar locations brought up to modern standards. The developers are rebuilding the original Gothic in Unreal Engine 5, preserving the story structure and spirit of the source material while overhauling the combat system, animations, quests, and overall presentation.
