Infected Leon Takes Center Stage in New Resident Evil Requiem Trailer

The February State of Play kicked off with a brand-new look at Resident Evil Requiem, dropping a fourth trailer less than a month before the game's official launch.
The footage confirms what many fans had already suspected: Leon S. Kennedy is infected once again. The trailer offers a grim look at Leon’s grey, virus-stricken arm, hinting that the clock is ticking to find a cure. But that wasn’t the only surprise in store. A brief appearance by a familiar blonde character has all but confirmed Sherry Birkin's return—at least, that’s the consensus among eagle-eyed fans. For long-time veterans of the series, the trailer also delivers heavy hits of nostalgia, showing Leon returning to the ruins of Raccoon City decades later and even stepping back inside the R.P.D. station.
Resident Evil Requiem is set to release on February 27, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5 (with PS5 Pro support), Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Digital pre-orders are live now.
