Kain Returns: Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered Officially Announced

During the latest State of Play, Crystal Dynamics officially revealed Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered, an updated version of the cult-classic saga's final chapter.
The upcoming remaster of Legacy of Kain: Defiance features high-definition visuals, upgraded lighting and textures, and refined controls for modern platforms. One of the most notable additions is a new third-person "floating" camera, though players can toggle back to the original fixed camera at any time. Long-time fans are in for a special treat: the game’s Deluxe Edition will include a playable demo of The Dark Prophecy—the long-lost sixth installment that was canceled in the mid-2000s and has never been officially released until now.
Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered is set to launch on March 3, 2026, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store).
