Metal Gear Solid 4 is Finally Coming to PC: Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 Revealed

Konami has officially unveiled Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2. This second compilation includes three highly anticipated titles: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, the HD version of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and the cult classic Metal Gear: Ghost Babel.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is a stealth-action game that originally launched on the PSP portable console. Its events take place in 1974, a decade after the events of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots serves as the narrative conclusion to Solid Snake's story, following his mission to hunt down and eliminate Liquid Ocelot before he takes control of the world's military systems. The game is set in 2014, five years after the Big Shell incident central to Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. The title remained a strict PlayStation 3 exclusive for years.

Metal Gear: Ghost Babel is a non-canonical alternative sequel to the very first Metal Gear, set seven years after the Outer Heaven incident. It originally launched exclusively for the Game Boy Color in 2000.

The collection is set to release on August 27, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
