Sony’s latest State of Play featured the gameplay debut of Star Wars: Galactic Racer, a new arcade racing game set in the Star Wars universe that will launch exclusively on PS5 in 2026.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer is described as a high-stakes reinvention of racing born in the lawless Outer Rim. Players will compete in the underground Galactic League, an unsanctioned racing circuit where only the bold survive. The main protagonist is Shade, a lone racer for whom the League is more than just a series of events — it is a chance to reclaim her destiny and settle old scores, with every race serving as both a shot at glory and a personal vendetta.
