Hogwarts Legacy 2 Reportedly Targeting Early 2027 Launch To Line Up With HBO’s Harry Potter Series

The Magic World Report account claims, citing its own sources, that Hogwarts Legacy 2 is expected to launch shortly after the premiere of season 1 of HBO’s Harry Potter series. If true, the sequel’s tentative release window would fall between January and April 2027, which lines up with earlier reports that HBO plans to debut the show in early 2027.

The outlet notes that, if this coordination is real, fans could be in for a major “unified Wizarding World moment”: first the series hype, then the new game launch. There’s still no official announcement of Hogwarts Legacy 2, but rumors about the sequel and its tie-in timing with the show have been circulating for a while, especially alongside reports that WB and Avalanche view it as a flagship project for the brand’s future.

Recent reports also suggest that Hogwarts Legacy 2 will remain a single-player RPG, despite fan concerns about a potential live-service pivot.
