Indie shooter MOUSE: P.I. For Hire will no longer launch on March 19. Developers Fumi Games and publisher PlaySide Studios have announced a new release date — April 16, 2026. The delay is minor, just under a month.
We want to make sure we’re giving MOUSE: P.I. For Hire the extra time and care needed to make it an unforgettable experience. Our goal is to deliver the best possible game — and that requires a few more weeks.
MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is a noir-inspired shooter styled after 1930s cartoons, featuring black-and-white rubber hose animation. The protagonist, detective Jack Pepper, is voiced by Troy Baker — known for portraying Joel in The Last of Us and Booker in BioShock Infinite.
The game is set to release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC.
