Rite of Eris, a roguelike survival game that previously sold for $10, has switched to a free-to-play model on Steam. According to the description, the project draws inspiration from the fast-paced action of Vampire Survivors, the character variety of Paragon, and the atmosphere of Hades.
Players are transported to the world of Eris, the goddess of discord, where every run tests your adaptability and skills. The game features 5 maps, 5 bosses, and 8 playable characters. All content—including future updates—can be unlocked simply by playing, with no purchases required.
Gameplay combines relentless battles against waves of enemies with unique character abilities, offering plenty of tactical opportunities for victory. Players will face off against powerful bosses, turn their strength against lesser foes, and explore dangerous, hidden corners of the world.
Rite of Eris supports both single-player and local co-op modes. If you’d like, you can also purchase cosmetic DLC to customize your characters’ appearance. The developers promise future updates with new characters, bosses, maps, and additional content.
You can add Rite of Eris to your library here.
