Monster Hunter Wilds Readies 10-Star Hunts and Anniversary Quests in Major March Update
Monster Hunter Wilds is getting a major update, bringing new 10-star endgame quests, special collaborations, and anniversary event hunts to the game.
On March 4, a new permanent Event Quest, “Hope of the Ancients,” will let players face a 10-star variant of Zoh Shia, a “regrowing” Guardian infused with dark recollection of past battles; while it is not an Arch-Tempered version, Capcom notes it is still designed as a serious challenge even for fully optimized endgame builds. On March 12, the permanent 10-star quest “Special Assignment: Slay Gogmazios” goes live, sending hunters back into the Forbidden Lands without any Support Hunters on the upper tier of the arena, forcing players to rely entirely on their own skill and gear. Also arriving on March 4 is “A Flash of Brilliance,” a permanent Event Quest tied to a Universal Studios Japan collaboration that lets players unlock and craft unique hunter armor sets, weapons, and Palico gear in the signature USJ style.
To mark the game’s first anniversary on February 28, Capcom is adding two cosmetic-focused Event Quests. The main highlight is the limited-time 10-star quest “Just What the Doctor Ordered,” featuring Rompopolo — reportedly one of the least hunted monsters in Wilds — in a powered-up form that grants exclusive rewards to those who survive the hunt. In addition, the permanent quest “Razzle Dazzle Frazzle” will be available, allowing players to unlock the flashy Gala Suit α and Felyne Star α sets, perfect for hunters who care about style as much as DPS.
For those still hungry for more Monster Hunter content, there is also a free demo of Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection on PC, a turn-based RPG spin-off where you hatch, raise, and battle alongside monsters instead of hunting them; progress from the Steam demo carries over to the full release on March 13.
