A game fans have been waiting nearly a decade for has reportedly been rebooted once more. This time, however, there’s at least some concrete information.

According to a report from Spanish outlet Press Over, The Wolf Among Us 2 is currently being developed in collaboration with an Argentine studio, whose name has not been disclosed. New details are expected in 2026, with a potential release window set for 2027. At the same time, a remaster of the original game may also be in the works. Sources claim Telltale considers it necessary to reintroduce the brand to the market, given that the first installment was released back in 2013.

The sequel’s development history is a saga in itself. The game was first announced in 2017 and initially planned for release in 2018. That same year, Telltale Games went bankrupt and shut down, freezing the project. In 2019, the studio was revived and development resumed — but from scratch. AdHoc Studio later joined and wrote a full season script, only to leave the project due to creative differences. Now, according to the report, development has restarted for a third time — this time with Argentine partners.

Whether to believe it is up to you. Press Over is not the most prominent publication, and Telltale has made no official comment. Still, after years of silence, even a rumor feels like real news for those who fell in love with the story of Snow White and the Big Bad Wolf.
