New Gameplay Trailer for RPG-Action The Expanse: Osiris Reborn Reveals Release Window
Owlcat Games has dropped a brand-new gameplay trailer for The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, confirming that the project is set to launch in spring 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. A closed beta will kick off on April 22, but only Founders who purchase the Miller's Pack or Collector's Edition will get access.
During the beta, players will be able to experience a full mission from the beginning of the game. This mission takes you to Pinkwater 4 station, where you'll meet its inhabitants (including Zafar, a future crew member), face a serious adversary, and earn the title of captain.
Beta testing will be available on PC (Steam), Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. The developers note that this is an early build, so performance may vary by device and does not represent the final quality of the game.
The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is a third-person sci-fi RPG-action game set in The Expanse universe. Players take on the role of a mercenary from the Pinkwater security company who finds themselves at the center of a major conspiracy after a sudden quarantine hits the Eros asteroid.
The game features full character creation, allowing you to choose your captain’s origin (Earth, Mars, or the Belt) and customize them in depth. The story evolves through player choices, affecting the plot, relationships with the crew, and the overall outcome. Crew dynamics are central — each companion has their own backstory and motivations, and your interactions can lead to strong alliances or heated conflicts.
Gameplay combines third-person combat with a cover system, firearms, special abilities, and team tactics. Some companions fight alongside you, while others provide support from a distance. Players will explore key locations across the solar system, including Ganymede, Ceres, Mars, and the Moon, interacting with residents and shaping events as the world reacts to your decisions.
The developers have previously shared detailed info about the companions. According to early reports, a full playthrough will take around 30–40 hours.
