Icarus: Sci-Fi Survival Sim from DayZ Creator Hits PS5 and Xbox Series X/S
GRIP Studios has officially announced the launch of Icarus: Console Edition, the sci-fi survival sim from Dean Hall, the creator of DayZ. Previously a PC exclusive, the game is now fully optimized for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The console version arrives bundled with the New Frontiers expansion, which introduces the Prometheus region, featuring new biomes (swamps and volcanic wastelands) and a chain of six story missions.
Icarus is a session-based PvE survival game for 1-8 players, set on a harsh planet following a failed terraforming attempt. Players take on the role of prospectors who drop from an orbital station to the planet's surface to complete missions and harvest valuable exotic resources. The planet's toxic atmosphere requires constant oxygen management, and the world is crawling with hostile monsters. The project currently holds a 74% positive rating on Steam.
Earlier, the open-world hunting simulator Way of the Hunter 2 launched on Steam.
