PC gamers are loving Death Stranding 2

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach launched on PC on March 19, 2026, and was very well received by gamers. Hideo Kojima’s game reached a peak concurrent player count of more than 57,000 on Steam despite competition from Crimson Desert, holds a 93% positive review rating, and sold 425,000 copies in its first week. Combined with 1.6 million copies sold on PS5, total sales of the sequel have already surpassed 2 million.

According to data from Alinea Analytics, the PC release accounted for about 21% of all copies sold, while Death Stranding 2 generated more than $110 million on PS5 and another $32.6 million on Steam. The analysts also note that, including the Epic Games Store, the project’s total revenue has likely already exceeded $150 million. At the same time, Alinea Analytics says that after the PC launch of Death Stranding 2, sales of the game on PS5 also saw a spike.

Death Stranding 2 is literally pulling PC players in. Average playtime over a week stands at 18 hours. More than a third of Steam players have already spent 20 hours or more in the game, and nearly 5 percent have logged more than 50 hours.

Kojima Productions’ game also posted one of the best Steam peak concurrency results among all Sony exclusives — 57,682 concurrent users. For comparison, God of War: Ragnarоk reached 35,000, the first Death Stranding hit 32,000, and The Last of Us Part 2 peaked at around 30,000.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach launched on PC last week and has received a high rating on Steam. The game has already been tested on 31 different GPUs, including the RTX 3060, RTX 4060 Ti, and RTX 5090.
