Polyarc Games was founded in 2015 by former employees of Bungie and Rockstar studios. The first project was Moss, a puzzle—based VR adventure game. In the story, the player finds an old book in the library and is transported to a fantasy world. There he meets the mouse Quill, who must save his kingdom from a fire-breathing snake.

One of the main features of the game was the system of communication with Quill through sign language. Gamers warmly welcomed the project, so soon Moss: Book 2 was released.

The gaming industry is going through difficult times right now, and Polyarc Games has joined the long list of studios that have to say goodbye to their employees due to funding problems.

There is no information yet about the exact number of employees who have been cut. According to unconfirmed information, the layoffs also affected the third part of Moss, the release of which is now in doubt.

Perhaps the most high-profile story related to layoffs was the reduction of more than a thousand Epic Games employees. Tim Sweeney, the head of the company, said that this had to be done due to a decline in activity in Fortnite. It later turned out that even an employee with an incurable form of brain cancer had been laid off, and now he had to urgently look for a replacement for his insurance policy.
