If you haven't explored the vast oceans of Planet 4546B yet, or you want to invite a friend to try it out, now is the perfect time!

Subnautica is an adventure-survival game set on an alien ocean planet. After crash-landing, you’ll find yourself in an open underwater world, exploring diverse biomes—from sunlit reefs to dangerous lava zones and cave systems—all while managing your oxygen supply and avoiding hostile wildlife.

Gameplay blends resource gathering, crafting equipment, and building vehicles with a gradual descent into deeper and more perilous waters. Constructing underwater bases is key for storing resources, replenishing supplies, and expanding your exploration capabilities. As you progress, you’ll unlock new technologies, including specialized suits and gear for extreme environments.

Alongside survival, Subnautica features a storyline that unravels the mystery behind your crash, a strange infection, and ancient structures scattered across the ocean floor. The ecosystem reacts to your actions, and the day-night cycle affects creature behavior and danger levels, adding to the game’s immersive sense of exploration and uncertainty.

Last month, Subnautica 2 sparked new controversy over its early access release date, which is currently set for May.

Are you planning to dive into Subnautica during the free weekend?
