Nvidia's DLSS 5 trailer was removed from YouTube due to copyright infringement. The complaint was filed by the Italian TV channel La7, which had previously broadcast the presentation of the new technology.

Nvidia announced DLSS 5 in mid-March, describing it as the biggest breakthrough in computer graphics since the introduction of ray tracing. However, the reaction from many gamers was mixed. It turned out that the technology significantly altered the faces of game characters. A notable example was Grace from Resident Evil Requiem. When DLSS 5 was enabled, the character appeared as if she had been filtered through an AI algorithm.

Later, a video showcasing the capabilities of DLSS 5 in Starfield was released. The technology significantly improved the visual quality of the game, resulting in more detailed locations and more accurate lighting. However, it also introduced various artifacts, such as strange shadows when the character moved.

The strange incidents surrounding DLSS 5 did not end there. Users noticed that the official trailer had been removed from Nvidia's channel. It turned out that La7 had used footage from the technology's presentation in their broadcast, and subsequently filed complaints against all videos featuring the same footage.

YouTube's automatic copyright analysis system is responsible for detecting such instances. It is likely that this is the reason why Nvidia's official presentation was affected.
