MOUSE: P.I. For Hire Launch Trailer Showcases Noir Action in a 1930s Cartoon Style

Fumi Games has released the official launch trailer for MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, a first-person shooter styled like a classic old-school cartoon. The game is set to launch on April 16 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The project is a fast-paced noir FPS inspired by 1930s animation. Players step into the shoes of private detective Jack Pepper as he investigates a tangled case, gradually uncovering a world of corruption, crime, and urban secrets.
The game stands out with its black-and-white visuals and hand-drawn “rubber hose” animation style, paired with an atmospheric big band jazz soundtrack. Locations range from grimy city streets to film studios and sewers.
Gameplay blends intense shootouts with a wide arsenal of cartoon-inspired weapons and power-ups, along with acrobatic movement mechanics such as wall-running, double jumps, and a grappling hook.
The campaign features over 20 levels filled with secrets, alternate paths, and light metroidvania elements, where constant movement and exploration play a key role.
A collector’s edition of MOUSE: P.I. For Hire was previously announced, and the game is currently among the most anticipated titles on Steam this April.
