How Steam Gamers Are Rating Replaced — First User Reviews Collected
The cyberpunk adventure game Replaced, which launched today (April 14), has already received its first user reviews on Steam. As of this writing, the game boasts a 90% approval rating.
Here’s what gamers are saying:
Peak online player count during the first hours has already surpassed 4,800 on Steam. It’s worth noting that Replaced also launched on Xbox Series X/S and is available via Game Pass.
Replaced is a cinematic 2.5D action-platformer set in an alternate 1980s America, reshaped by the aftermath of a nuclear disaster. Players take on the role of R.E.A.C.H., an artificial intelligence trapped in a human body, trying to uncover the motives behind the Phoenix Corporation and the reasons for their own creation—all against a backdrop of corruption, violence, and social decay.
The game blends exploration of ruined industrial zones and neon-lit city districts with dynamic combat, where smooth movement, a mix of melee and ranged attacks, and maintaining the rhythm of battle are key. The story unfolds gradually, revealing the world and its characters while tackling themes of identity, control, and humanity. Visually, Replaced features retro-futuristic pixel art with modern effects, all complemented by an atmospheric synth soundtrack.
Replaced has also received high praise from critics and was among the most anticipated games of April on Steam.
