Six More Games Go Permanently Free on Steam — Most Boast High Ratings
Steam just got even more generous, as six more games have switched to a free-to-play model: Blitz Arena, Devils Due, Dungeon Escape VR, Spacescape, Temple of Aluxes, and THE OFFICE ROOMS.
Blitz Arena is a fast-paced multiplayer shooter where up to 8 players compete in tournaments across various modes. You can play solo, in duos, or in 4v4 teams, earning points in each mode and climbing the overall leaderboard.
The game features a variety of challenges—from classic duels and gun game modes (where you unlock new weapons with each kill) to fast-paced battle royale with shrinking zones and loot, plus unique formats like dodgeball with guided projectiles, obstacle courses, and timed target shooting. Some modes focus on team play and scoring points for kills or completing objectives.
Players have access to dozens of weapons and grenades, multiple maps, a cosmetic reward system, and leaderboards. Each match is a tournament, so your final standing matters as much as individual round wins. Previously, the game cost $8. It currently holds an 84% rating.
Devils Due is an RPG with a slot-based combat system, where you battle demonic bosses while managing risk and resources as you struggle with debts to the Devil. Victory depends on the results of spins, which determine your damage and can either boost your chances or turn the tide against you.
The game features multiple stages with increasingly complex mechanics, over 40 unique talismans that affect playstyle and strategy, and systems for managing economy, bets, and luck effects. Each boss has unique abilities and reactions, and the gameplay revolves around combining buffs, randomness, and tactical choices in the face of mounting risk. Previously sold for $4.
Dungeon Escape VR is a VR escape room experience where you’re trapped in a dungeon and must solve puzzles to break free. Gameplay revolves around finding clues, interacting with objects, and tackling a variety of challenges, including logic puzzles, code locks, and dexterity tests.
Players can freely explore, pick up and break objects, and face increasingly difficult puzzles. The game supports room-scale and teleportation movement in VR. Previously priced at $5, it holds an 81% rating.
Spacescape is a VR game where you’re stranded on a space station and must solve puzzles to make it back to Earth. Explore multiple rooms in zero gravity, hunt for hidden clues, and interact with your environment.
Puzzles increase in difficulty, and you’ll use various movement and interaction methods in VR. The game supports both teleportation and full free movement, offering an immersive, exploration-focused experience. Previously cost $8, with an 80% rating.
Temple of Aluxes is another VR game, where you explore a lost temple and try to escape by solving a variety of puzzles. Search for treasure and clues, examine your surroundings closely, and use a scanner to uncover hidden evidence.
Gameplay blends logic and skill-based challenges, offers several rooms to explore, and supports different movement options in VR. Previously sold for $8, with a 77% rating.
THE OFFICE ROOMS is a short exploration game in the corporate horror genre. You investigate an abandoned facility focused on productivity analysis, uncovering its purpose and past. Gameplay centers on exploring anomalous rooms with unique visuals and behaviors, gathering and archiving data, and completing tasks within a repeating work cycle under time pressure.
The experience combines environmental storytelling and gradual breakdown of the simulation’s stability, creating a growing sense of weirdness and reality decay within a corporate setting. Previously sold for $5, it boasts a 95% rating.
Recently, six more free games also launched on Steam, and a new sale has just begun.
