The most important quest in history: We Gotta Go is out — a game where you must reach the toilet before disaster strikes

FuzzyBot has released the co-op horror game We Gotta Go on Steam — and yes, the objective is exactly what it sounds like. You and three friends ate too many gas station burritos and now urgently need a bathroom. The only one available is inside a haunted mansion filled with ghosts. That’s the whole story.

Gameplay revolves around a health bar that represents your intestines. It fills up from fear, damage, and stress. To relieve pressure, you can… pass gas — literally, it’s a mechanic. The enemies match the theme: toilet paper mummies, hordes of corn-speckled poop creatures, tapeworms, and a cult boss named Pootulhu. Weapons include plungers, gas-can grenades, and knives made of… well, you get the idea. If you die, you respawn as a playable pile and must find your body to possess it again. The mansion is procedurally generated, making each run unique — and uniquely disgusting.

During its February demo, the game made it into the top 15 most popular titles at Steam Next Fest. It supports up to four players both online and locally. The full release launched on April 14 for PC. The price is around $8, with a current 20% discount. Steam reviews are “Mixed” so far: 69% positive from 26 reviews — players praise the chaotic co-op and atmosphere, but criticize its roughness and simple enemy design.

Would you play this with friends — or is this one of those games you’d never admit trying? Share your thoughts in the comments.
