The Best Games of the BAFTA Games Awards 2026 Revealed — And Here’s Which Title Won Game of the Year
The BAFTA Games Awards 2026 ceremony is currently underway in London—marking the final major event of the awards season and celebrating the standout releases of 2025 (as well as some late-2024 titles, including Indiana Jones and the Great Circle). The shortlists for all categories have already been revealed, and one clear frontrunner has emerged: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which leads with the most nominations across several key disciplines.
Heading into the ceremony, Sandfall Interactive’s project was also considered a top contender for GOTY (“Game of the Year”), boasting the highest number of nominations among all participants. Its main competitors include Ghost of Yotei, Dispatch, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and several other major releases from the past year.

- Best Leading Performer — Jennifer English as Maelle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33;
- Best Supporting Performer — Jeffrey Wright as Chase in Dispatch;
- Game Beyond Entertainment Award — Despelote;
- Artistic Achievement — Death Stranding 2: On the Beach;
- Audio Achievement — Dispatch;
- Technical Achievement — Ghost of Yotei.
