The developers of Invincible VS understood the gamers who escape from matches, but they still decided to punish them
The developers of the new fighting game Invincible VS drew attention to the main problem that appeared during the beta test — the premature withdrawal of players from the match. Quarter Up Studio intends to punish gamers who escape from the battlefield.
Invincible VS beta testing ended this week. Many gamers liked the game, but it quickly became clear that the developers had not provided any penalties for early withdrawal from the match. As a result, many users learned effective combos, but as soon as they started using them, they were faced with the fact that the enemy was disabled.
Now, Quarter Up has reported that disconnecting during a rating match will cost players league points. Moreover, if you exit the game too often in the middle of a fight, gamers will be even more severely punished. However, the developers have not yet come up with it. At the same time, the studio noted that they understand those who, in a rage, give up everything because of an overly difficult duel.
«If you’re reading this and were guilty of a rage quit or two during the beta…we get it. Ranked was the system we most needed to stress test, but we also know that meant players who wanted to explore at their own pace (or who are new to fighting games entirely) didn’t have a good way to do that».
In addition, the authors have worked on less noticeable issues. By the time of release, on April 30, Invincible VS should have a minimum of crashes, and downloads in matches will be faster than during the beta test.
Invincible VS is a fighting game dedicated to the characters of the animated series of the same name. The new season, by the way, was released just a month ago. In recent episodes, Mark has faced the threat of a full-scale galactic war. The main character, who is still recovering from severe injuries — both physical and moral — was forced to join forces with his father.
What kind of punishment do you think the authors of Invincible VS should impose for those who escape from the match? Or is it worth doing nothing, and the problem will solve itself?
