New Characters, Story Developments, and More — Update 2.8 for Zenless Zone Zero Coming Soon

miHoYo has officially announced the date for the next Zenless Zone Zero livestream—developers will host their traditional stream dedicated to Update 2.8 on April 24, 2026. The broadcast is set to begin at 19:30 (UTC +8).

Titled "New: Eridan Sunset," the new patch will continue the main storyline. The developers have promised to shed light on one of the key mysteries of the current narrative: the motives of Ramiel, who stole the luminoalloy amplifier. Judging by the teasers, the aftermath of this event will spark major conflicts and introduce new threats for Proxies and their allies to face.

Special attention will be given to new characters. The livestream will feature a full reveal of Promea, a cold-blooded Arbiter, as well as an updated version of the familiar hero Billy, who will be getting a brand-new form. In addition, the team will showcase new in-game activities and share details about the fresh content arriving with the update.

The presentation format will remain the same as usual. During the stream, the developers will go over all the key features and story twists. As always, viewers can look forward to special bonuses—promo codes with Polychromes and upgrade materials will be given out during the broadcast.

Update 2.8, "New: Eridan Sunset," is expected to launch in early May, so players won’t have to wait long to experience all the new content.
