The studio behind Sailor Moon, One Piece, and Dragon Ball is opening a gaming division — the first announcement is this week
Toei, one of the largest anime producers and distributors, has unexpectedly announced the opening of a gaming division. The new brand was named Toei Games.
Toei is known to many anime lovers, thanks to such titles as Sailor Moon, One Piece and Dragon Ball. The first steps in the gaming industry will be based on existing projects. However, in the future, Toei Games will create unique stories that will involve both local and foreign developers.
Initially, the new Toei division will focus on PC games, but later projects will begin to be released on PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
There are no details about Toei Games' developments yet, but the studio promises to make the first announcement on April 24.
By the way, on the eve of the developers of the fighting game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has announced a large-scale Super Limit Breaking NEO add-on. It will add new characters, arenas, and customization options to the game.
