Freebie Alert: Dark Horror-Adventure The Whispering Valley is Free to Claim on PC

GOG is currently giving away copies of The Whispering Valley, an atmospheric first-person horror-adventure game. You have until April 28 to add this title to your library for free.

Set in 1896, The Whispering Valley takes players to the remote Canadian village of Sainte-Monique-des-Monts. Following an anonymous letter, the protagonist discovers a settlement hiding a grim secret that can only be uncovered by exploring the environment and questioning the locals. In terms of gameplay, the project draws inspiration from Myst, tasking players with investigating locations, interacting with NPCs, finding notes, and solving environmental puzzles.

The game currently holds an 89% positive rating on Steam, with players praising its thick atmosphere, compelling narrative, solid puzzles, and distinct visual style.

In other free-to-play news, the licensed racing game Race Max Pro recently arrived on Steam. Additionally, the third-person horror shooter HORDEKILL was also released for free on Valve's platform.
