Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2: Loose Cannon Trailer Reveals New Protagonist and Release Date
The Chinese Room has released a new trailer and confirmed the release date for Loose Cannon, the upcoming story DLC for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2. The expansion is set to launch on April 27 for PC and consoles.
The trailer opens with a tense standoff between the new protagonist, Benny, and a mysterious stranger, before transitioning into a montage of fast-paced gameplay. We see Benny tearing through groups of enemies and exploring ancient catacombs. The footage ends with a teaser of Benny unsuccessfully trying to damage a golden statue with his firearm, leaving it completely unscathed.
In Loose Cannon, players step into the shoes of Benny Muldoon. The DLC features four new quests that take place immediately after the main protagonist’s encounter with Benny in the "In Chains of Lead and Gold" mission.
Unlike Phyre, Benny lacks supernatural abilities like telekinesis or gliding. Instead, he relies on his trusty 9mm pistol and a variety of melee weapons with unique attack patterns. His primary traversal mechanic is the "Soaring Leap," which allows for mid-air dashes.
The second story expansion, titled The Flower & the Flame, is slated for release in Q2 2026 and will focus on Isabella of Clan Toreador.
As a reminder, Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 received a major winter update back in December.
