Xbox is preparing the cheapest level of the Game Pass subscription, but there is a nuance
Xbox is preparing to launch a new subscription level of Game Pass, which will be called Starter Edition. Access to it will be enabled for everyone who already has a Discord Nitro subscription.
Microsoft recently announced a collaboration with Discord. The details were not specified, but if the insider information is correct, then this cooperation has already begun. For Discord Nitro subscribers, the launch version of the Game Pass will be free. At the same time, Discord Nitro itself costs $9.99.
The Game Pass Starter Edition can include more than 50 games from the existing library. The list will include both Microsoft's own projects and third-party developments. In particular, we should expect Fallout 4, Stardew Valley and Hades.
In addition, an initial subscription can give users up to 10 hours per month of streaming on Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Apparently, Microsoft has taken its gaming subscription seriously, and these are not the only changes that await the Game Pass. Insiders claim that Xbox is discussing the concept of a subscription builder. That is, players will be able to choose for themselves what they want to pay for. For example, you can opt out of Cloud Gaming or services like Fortnite Crew.
Do you think a joint Xbox and Discord subscription will be in demand?
