Insider Reveals Next Assassin's Creed Game Set for the Remake Treatment
Following the official announcement of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, fans have been buzzing about Ubisoft's long-term remake plans. If current rumors are to be believed, the studio may finally be returning to where it all began with a remake of the original Assassin's Creed.
Ubisoft previously confirmed that several remakes within the franchise are currently in the works. Reputable insider Tom Henderson added fuel to the fire, noting that the company has decided to modernize one of the series' oldest entries. Responding to this, fellow leaker j0nathan claimed he had heard whispers of an AC1 remake as far back as 2023.
It’s highly likely that other fan-favorites will eventually get the same treatment. Assassin's Creed 2 remains a top candidate, as it is still widely regarded as the pinnacle of the series. A remake of Assassin's Creed 3 would also be a logical move, serving as the bridge for the "Kenway Saga" alongside Black Flag and Rogue.
As for Black Flag Resynced, the game is slated for release on July 9 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The developers recently revealed the official system requirements and unveiled a premium Collector’s Edition featuring a statue, steelbook, and more.
