Breaded owlbear eggs — Baldur’s Gate 3 is getting an official cookbook
Publishers Ten Speed Press and Penguin Random House have announced an official cookbook for Baldur's Gate 3. Titled A Feast for a Tenday: The Official Baldur's Gate Cookbook, it will be released on November 3, 2026.
The book will feature 65 recipes inspired by the world of Baldur's Gate 3. Among the dishes are breaded owlbear eggs, Emperor’s fern soup, Neverwinter stew, berry tart, garlic butter potatoes, iced ale, and campfire pizza. The cookbook will cost $38.
The author is Andrew Wheeler, who has previously worked on numerous Dungeons & Dragons projects. The Official Baldur's Gate Cookbook is presented as the story of a cook traveling across Faerûn alongside Lae’zel, Shadowheart, Astarion, Karlach, and others. Each “stop” is a separate camp with its own set of dishes reflecting local cuisine, ingredients, and wildlife.
Most importantly, every dish can be recreated in real life. The recipes are adapted for real-world ingredients and modern kitchen equipment, while also explaining how to present the dishes so they resemble meals from the Forgotten Realms. The recipes are divided into categories: appetizers, main courses, soups and stews, baked goods, and drinks. Additionally, dishes suitable for dates are marked as “Romanceable” — intended for creating a romantic atmosphere.
Meanwhile, the Baldur’s Gate 3 developers are currently working on a new Divinity game. Details surfaced in December, and there’s also recent news about engine improvements.
