New Walking Dead Game Announced for Android and iOS
Ares Interactive has announced The Walking Dead: Aftermath, a new free-to-play mobile title based on the hit AMC series, coming to Android and iOS.
The Walking Dead: Aftermath is a top-down action strategy game where players must battle hordes of walkers, scavenge for resources, and build up their home base. The game features a roster of iconic characters from the franchise, including Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Michonne, Glenn, and Maggie. Fans will also recognize classic locations from the show, such as Hershel’s Farm, Woodbury, and Alexandria. A key feature of the project is the inclusion of roguelike elements, turning supply runs into high-stakes, unpredictable challenges that ensure plenty of replayability.
Early access is already available for users in select regions via Google Play and the App Store. The global launch is scheduled for Summer 2026.
In other mobile news, the top-down RPG Drova: Forsaken Kin — often described as a "pixel-art Gothic" — recently launched on mobile devices. This follows the recent Android and iOS debut of the third-person action hit Control.
