Headup, Beep Japan, and Bleakmill have released INDUSTRIA 2, a first-person sci-fi shooter inspired by Half-Life, now available on Steam. The game is being offered at a 10% discount until May 13, and there’s a free demo available for anyone who wants to try it out.

INDUSTRIA 2 is an atmospheric first-person adventure shooter following Nora, a woman who finds herself trapped in a parallel reality after the events of the first game. As she tries to make her way back home to East Berlin in 1989, she must navigate a deserted and hostile world where the industrial landscape is gradually being overtaken by the ATLAS artificial intelligence.

Gameplay blends exploration, crafting, and intense battles against mechanical enemies, with a strong focus on realistic physics and inventory management. Players can upgrade their weapons with a variety of modifications, and combat encounters are dynamic, featuring body horror elements and the satisfying destruction of robots.

The story unfolds through a linear campaign lasting several hours, emphasizing atmosphere, cinematic sound design, and a narrative centered on the consequences of human interaction with artificial intelligence. Visually, the game leverages Unreal Engine 5’s dynamic lighting to highlight its industrial and abandoned environments.

Previously, we put together a roundup of the best shooters for low-end PCs and laptops. And just last week, a new Cold War-themed shooter, ‘83, launched in Steam Early Access.

So, what do you think of INDUSTRIA 2? Does this Half-Life-inspired sci-fi shooter look interesting enough for you to give it a try, or do atmospheric but short indie projects no longer grab your attention?
