NetherRealm is secretly working on Injustice 3 — a Warner Bros. employee’s résumé just gave it away

Portal MP1st spotted a LinkedIn profile of an anonymous artist working at Warner Bros. Games. In the projects section — with no vague wording or placeholders — one title is listed outright: Injustice 3. Alongside it are Hogwarts Legacy 2 and two unannounced projects.

This is the most direct confirmation of the game’s existence so far. Previously, there were only hints: a 2024 NetherRealm Studios job listing for cinematic animations tied to a story mode, comments from George Newbern — the voice of Superman — saying he was “currently working on Injustice 3,” and teases from Ed Boon, who said he’d be surprised if the studio didn’t return to the series.

The last entry, Injustice 2, launched in 2017 and was a major success — selling 1.5 million copies in its first quarter and becoming the best-selling console game of that period. Since then, NetherRealm Studios released two Mortal Kombat titles — 11 and 1. Support for Mortal Kombat 1 ended earlier than expected, with its third content pack canceled — further suggesting the studio has moved on to its next major project.

James Gunn, head of DC Studios, previously confirmed he had discussions with NetherRealm about future DC games. Meanwhile, Warner Bros. Discovery stated in February 2026 that the “real results” of its gaming division reboot would arrive in 2027–2028 — aligning perfectly with the studio’s development cycle.

There’s still no official announcement. But at this point, there’s very little doubt left.
