Winx Club: The Magic is Back, the latest title based on the beloved animated series, has officially launched on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. There is currently no word on a potential Xbox Series X/S version.

Winx Club: The Magic is Back is an action-adventure title that invites players to explore iconic locations from the show, including Alfea College, the Enchanted Forest, coastal cliffs, and the desert ruins of Red Fountain. The gameplay loop revolves around battling fantastical creatures using magical abilities and solving environmental puzzles. Players can take control of all six fairies—Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, Tecna, and Aisha—with the ability to switch between them freely during the journey.

Despite the brand's popularity, the game has had a rocky start on Steam. It reached an underwhelming all-time peak of just 112 concurrent players and currently sits at a "Mixed" 41% rating. In user reviews, players have largely panned the game for its lack of polish and overall low quality.

The project was developed by Iron Frog, a studio that previously focused on support work and is making its debut as a lead developer here. The game is published by Maximum Entertainment.

In other animation-related gaming news, a new free-to-play mobile title based on My Hero Academia, titled My Hero Academia: United Survival, was recently announced. Additionally, a collection of classic games based on the Rugrats series was unveiled for PS5 and Switch.
