Freebie Alert: Psychological Horror Overcome Your Fears — Caretaker is Currently Free on Steam

Steam has launched a free giveaway for the indie psychological horror title Overcome Your Fears — Caretaker. You can grab it for your library and keep it forever, provided you claim it before May 7th.

Overcome Your Fears — Caretaker follows the story of 19-year-old Steve Jackson, who agrees to house-sit for some friends while they’re away on vacation. What starts as a simple gig quickly spirals into a living nightmare. The game currently holds a "Mostly Positive" rating on Valve's platform, with 76% of players recommending it.

It’s also worth noting that a new installment, Overcome Your Fears — Lighthouse, is coming soon. The sequel centers on Adam, a 23-year-old office worker who takes a job as a lighthouse keeper to clear his head after a rough breakup. While there is no confirmed release date yet, you can already check out its Steam page.

In other news, Steam recently kicked off free weekends for three different titles: the racing game Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, the grand strategy Victoria 3, and the co-op shooter No More Room in Hell 2. Meanwhile, the Epic Games Store is currently giving away Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure and Hogwarts Legacy.
