Indie studio Fatbot Games has announced the full release date for its dark fantasy boomer shooter Gravelord. After debuting in Early Access back in January 2025, the game is officially launching into version 1.0 on May 21, 2026.
Gravelord is an adrenaline-pumping first-person shooter featuring fast-paced combat, hand-crafted levels, and a touch of dark fantasy humor. Drawing heavy inspiration from classics like Doom and Quake, the game follows Quido the gravedigger on a quest to avenge his father’s death. To tear through hordes of enemies, players can utilize Tarot cards to buff their abilities and unlock weapon upgrades that provide alternative firing modes. For those who prefer arena-style survival, a standalone spin-off titled Hordelord is also available on Steam.
The upcoming 1.0 update is set to expand the experience significantly, adding 12 new levels, 11 enemy types, and 3 new weapons. Additionally, the full release will introduce a level editor and official support for custom maps.
The FPS scene has been busy lately; Steam recently saw the launch of INDUSTRIA 2, a sci-fi shooter heavily inspired by the iconic Half-Life 2. Prior to that, the co-op shooter Far Far West became available on PC. Described as a mix of Deep Rock Galactic, Serious Sam, and Helldivers 2, it has already garnered over 90% positive reviews.
