Subnautica 2 Allegedly Cracked and Leaked Just Two Days Before Early Access Launch
Just two days before the Early Access release of Subnautica 2, reports have surfaced online claiming that a full build of the game has been leaked. According to users, the game has already started circulating on piracy sites, though the exact source of the leak remains unknown.
This marks the third major leak in just a few days. Similar incidents were previously reported for Forza Horizon 6 and Directive 8020, both of which also appeared online ahead of their official release.
Subnautica 2 is the next entry in the acclaimed underwater survival series from Unknown Worlds Entertainment. This time, players are set to explore an uncharted ocean planet where humanity is attempting to build a new future far from war and destruction.
In the story, the Alterra Corporation sends colonists aboard the ship “Cicada” to a new world, but the mission quickly goes off course. The ship’s AI insists that the objective must be completed at any cost, leaving players to survive in hostile deep-sea environments, explore mysterious biomes, and uncover the planet’s secrets.
One of the key features of Subnautica 2 will be its four-player co-op mode. Players will be able to build bases together, gather resources, craft vehicles, and explore the underwater world as a team. The game can also be completed solo for those who prefer a single-player experience.
The developers promise a variety of biomes, new creatures, an upgrade system, character customization, and ongoing content updates throughout Early Access. However, they also warn that the launch version may contain bugs, performance issues, and unfinished content, as the game is still actively in development.
Subnautica 2 enters Early Access on May 14 for PC and Xbox Series X/S. Previously, the game’s system requirements were revealed, and pre-orders went live.
