The individual responsible for repeatedly swatting Luke has been sentenced to four years in prison, following a guilty plea confirmed by a letter from the US Department of Justice.

Luke shared the news on social media, posting the official letter from the Department of Justice that detailed the sentencing. According to the document, after serving four years in prison, the convicted individual will also spend three years under supervised release. The defendant's name remains undisclosed in public records, and it's not specified which particular swatting incident led to the conviction.

Swatting refers to the dangerous act of making a false report of a serious crime at someone’s address to provoke an armed police response. While some may treat it as a prank, such incidents are extremely hazardous and have resulted in tragic outcomes. For Luke, the threat was very real: in 2023, he was swatted live during a Thanksgiving stream, and similar incidents have occurred multiple times since, with several captured in YouTube videos.

Luke has previously explained that his personal information was leaked online years ago, which enabled the repeated targeting. He emphasized that Rockstar Games was not responsible for this leak.
