At the Summer Game Fest 2026 showcase, Telltale Games debuted the highly anticipated trailer for the detective adventure sequel The Wolf Among Us 2.

The game's narrative picks up after the events of the original title. Players will return to Fabletown, a hidden district in modern-day New York City where folklore and fairy tale characters live disguised among humans. However, a string of brutal homicides threatens to shatter Fabletown's fragile peace. Sheriff Bigby Wolf finds himself drawn into a dangerous conspiracy that leads deep into the city's criminal underbelly.

Alongside the sequel, Telltale also announced The Wolf Among Us Remastered. Set for a holiday season release, this updated version of the 2013 classic is designed to catch up long-time fans and introduce new players to the franchise ahead of the sequel's launch.

The road to The Wolf Among Us 2 has spanned nearly a decade. First announced in 2017, the project was canceled following Telltale Games' bankruptcy. Production was restarted from scratch after the studio's revival, but the release faced multiple delays. The developers are now targeting a 2027 launch window on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. No exact date has been set.

Do you think The Wolf Among Us 2 can live up to the success of the original game?
