Nioh Developer Announces Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember
Japanese studio Team Ninja has officially announced Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, a sequel to its dark fantasy soulslike set in ancient China. The game is scheduled to launch in the first half of 2027.
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is a third-person action RPG that picks up right after the events of the original title. Players will once again step into the shoes of a nameless warrior, battling both human armies and deadly demons across massive zones. The core gameplay will retain its signature challenging, high-speed swordplay inspired by traditional Chinese martial arts. The developers promise to build upon the original's foundation while introducing entirely new combat mechanics.
The game will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one.
The announcement was made during the June Xbox Games Showcase 2026. For a complete look at other major reveals from this summer's presentations, check out our full recap article.
