Atlus has officially announced Persona 6, debuting its very first teaser trailer during the Xbox Games Showcase 2026. The highly anticipated RPG is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

The brief teaser showcases a graveyard centered around a headless statue. A man's hand reaches out to touch the monument, triggering a sequence of rapid cuts that depict blood pulsing through veins. The dark, eerie tone of the footage hints at a return to the mature atmosphere of the series' earliest entries, contrasting with the lighter, slice-of-life school comedy elements found in recent titles. However, the graveyard setting doesn't rule out a high school backdrop, which remains a staple of the Persona universe. For instance, in Persona 3, the high school building transformed into a massive, monster-infested tower known as Tartarus during the Dark Hour.

While the developers kept plot details and the main protagonist's identity under wraps, the trailer confirmed long-standing rumors regarding the game's visual identity: green will serve as the signature color for the sixth installment. This follows the franchise's tradition of distinct color palettes, where Persona 3 utilized blue, Persona 4 adopted yellow, and Persona 5 featured red.
