Nintendo has officially announced a new Nintendo Direct presentation set to air on June 9 at 3 PM BST / 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET. The broadcast will run for approximately 50 minutes and will focus on upcoming games for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 scheduled for release in the second half of 2026.
Immediately following the presentation, Nintendo will host a Nintendo Treehouse: Live showcase, offering extended gameplay demonstrations of selected titles featured during the Direct. The livestream is expected to last around 90 minutes.
This upcoming Nintendo Direct will mark the first full-fledged edition of the format since September 2025. Since then, Nintendo has only held smaller presentations focused on specific games, partner projects, and other individual initiatives.
As usual, Nintendo is keeping the contents of the show under wraps. The company is expected to provide updates on several major upcoming releases, including Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. In addition, rumors surrounding a potential remake of the beloved The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time continue to circulate online, though Nintendo has yet to officially confirm anything.
Several major showcases have already taken place as part of this year's Summer Game Fest. We've rounded up the biggest gaming announcements of June 2026 in a dedicated article.
