Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Announced for Switch 2

Nintendo has announced the next installment in its sports franchise: Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. The title will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2.
The game will reportedly feature 12 sports fully tailored for the Joy-Con 2. The lineup of available disciplines includes boxing, archery, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, bowling, basketball, golf, thumb wrestling, skateboarding, jet ski racing, propeller plane flying, and rope jumping. The trailer showcases a thumb wrestling mode that utilizes both the Joy-Con 2 gyros and triggers. The main goal in this mode is to pin your opponent's thumb and hold it for three seconds. Nintendo has not yet shared details about the online modes. However, given the heavy reliance on motion controls, the focus will likely be on local multiplayer.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort will be the first entry in the series since the release of Nintendo Switch Sports in 2022. That previous installment included many classic franchise disciplines like bowling, tennis, and golf. The new game is scheduled to launch on October 22.
Nintendo also previously announced a remake of the cult classic The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
